    Sussex Soberfest

In mid-September each year, our Sussex County Chapter hosts Soberfest at Hudson Fields in Milton. The free-admission festival blends together live music, games, food, vendors and behavioral health into a day of celebrating everyone in recovery, their families and friends. The 2025 Soberfest was held Saturday, Sept. 13. Watch for more details about next year's festival, including how to volunteer.

Impact Story

You Gave Me Hope

Names of clients have been changed to protect their privacy.

Nina and Elise came to our Resource Center to use the food pantry. While they were waiting for their orders, they told the staff and volunteers that they each had an adult son who uses heroin. Our staff asked if they had Narcan® at home. Neither did. Our staff immediately provided the women with free Narcan kits, as well as fentanyl and xylazine test strips, and trained them on how to use them. We urged the two moms to encourage their sons to seek treatment and visit the Resource Center for help. As the women prepared to leave, Nina pulled a board member aside and hugged her. With tears in her eyes, Nina said, “You gave me hope.”
