The atTAcK addiction Annual E-Racing the Stigma 5K takes place the first Saturday of every March, at picturesque Battery Park along the Delaware River in New Castle. It’s more than a race; it’s a movement.
Annual Gala
The atTAcK addiction Annual Be a Hero Gala is held in mid-October at the Executive Banquet Center. The event celebrates those making a difference in the recovery community, as well as atTAcK addiction’s continued focus on making a difference in Delaware.

Soberfest
In mid-September each year, our Sussex County Chapter hosts Soberfest at Hudson Fields in Milton. The free-admission festival blends together live music, games, food, vendors and behavioral health into a day of celebrating everyone in recovery, their families and friends.
The 2025 Soberfest will be held Saturday, Sept. 13. Watch for more details about this year's festival, including how to volunteer.

You Gave Me Hope
Names of clients have been changed to protect their privacy.
Nina and Elise came to our Resource Center to use the food pantry. While they were waiting for their orders, they told the staff and volunteers that they each had an adult son who uses heroin. Our staff asked if they had Narcan® at home. Neither did. Our staff immediately provided the women with free Narcan kits, as well as fentanyl and xylazine test strips, and trained them on how to use them. We urged the two moms to encourage their sons to seek treatment and visit the Resource Center for help. As the women prepared to leave, Nina pulled a board member aside and hugged her. With tears in her eyes, Nina said, “You gave me hope.”
